Many parents ask, when should I feed my baby solids? What food should i feed him?
Most pediatricians recommend starting baby food around 6 months of age. I although started to feed my boy real solids at 5 months of age.

Once my son was showing signs of readiness for “real food” I did purchase different jars of baby food to see what he may or may not like before making up big batches to freeze.

First, the signs of readiness:
- Holds head up without support
- Sits well with support
- Watches others eat and shows interest
- Loss of the tongue-thurst reflux
- Ability to let you know when full
- Willing to chew
There are other signs as well, but the above are most common.
